KDRAMA WATCH OCTOBER

A Tree with Deep Roots

I’m really looking forward to this drama. Based on Lee Jeong-myeong’s novel “Deep-rooted Tree”. Work that highlights the serial killings during the 7 days before the announcement of the Korean script. A series of murder occurred during the reign of King Sejong. As Kang Chae Yoon who is investigating these cases gets closer to the root of the truth, he finds himself embroiled in a massive conspiracy behind the serial killings which involves a group of genius who are willing to risked their lives towards their cause/goals and secret powers who will interfere with the course of his investigations. The plot itself is completely unique- I’m not sure something like this has been done before. And its very fitting it start in October….maybe they will have a totally scary scene on Halloween! Its set to start on the 5th taking over the place of Protect the Boss.

Mr. Idol

Entertainment mogul Sa Hee-Moon (Kim Su-Ro) runs top talent agency “Star Music.” Oh Goo-Joo (Park Ye-Jin) is a former music producer who quit the business after the death of one of her clients. One day, Oh Goo-Joo runs into Lee Yoo-Jin (Ji Hyun-Woo). Lee Yoo-Jin was a former client of “Star Music” but was kicked out after years of training. Goo-Joo believes Yoo-Jin has star potential and helps produce new idol band “Mr. Children” featuring Yoo-Jin on lead vocals. As the group grows in popularity, Sa Hee-Moon from “Star Music” works to sabotage the groups chances for success … A simple enough plot but with a killer cast I ‘d dub this much anticipated.

SOON!

Quite a bit of interesting stuff is scheduled to air soon. Normally I don’t find my attention drawn to so many dramas at a time but these have really sparked my interest.

You’ve Fallen For Me

You’ve Fallen For Me aka Heartstrings will broadcast after The Greatest Love on June 29th and revolves around an art’s university. Its said to incorporate theater, dance, pop culture, and music in order to showcase the romance and friendships of the young students on campus. It stars Jung Yong Hwa of CN Blue, Park Shin Hye of Your Beautiful, and many others. I’m particularly interested in this drama because unlike in Yu Beautiful Yong Hwa’s character and Shin Hye’s get together!

Spy Myung Wol

Spy Myung Wol will broadcast in place of Babyface Beauty on July 4th. The story is about a North Korean spy and a Hallyu wave star who get tangled into a rocky romance. It’s stars Han Ye Seul and Eric- in his 1st role since the end of his military service. This drama seems quirky and fun! I’m really looking forward to see the shenanigans the characters get into!

Sector 7

Sector 7 is set to premier in theaters August 4th. It’s simple plot about a group of oil rig workers forced to fight a sea monster. Being a huge fan of Ha Ji Won I’m sure this is going to be one heck of and action packed film.
